Modular power supply question...

building a new system and I wanted to give a modular PSU a try. Never had one before but want to try something new. Is there a generally accepted brand that is "best" among all of them? My system will be a Core 2 with 8800 series graphics card. Any tips that you folks have on modular supplies I'd love to hear.
 
there is also the Corsair 520HX, which is getting good reviews and is less expensive than the 620HX
 
Perhaps we should replace the power supply forum with a page that just says "Get a Corsair!!!"
 
So, while you're at it, replace the Linux/bsd forum with a page that says "Solve your problem with rm -rf /" ?

:p Yea, corsair is what you want.
 
What I like about the Corsair power supplies, is that when they say that their units can hit 520 or 620 watts, they do that with a conservative estimate. I would feel far more comfortable using one of theirs, than I ever would with Brand X's 900 watter.
 
I am debating whether to get the Corsair HX520 or Seasonic S12 Energy+ 550W(none moduler, $20 more in cost) myself. Efficiency and Quietness is important to me. Any suggestions?

System Planned so far for mid-may:
C2D E6320
Scithe Ninja RevB+ w/ stock fan
Asus P5B
Mushkin EM 2GB kit
8600GTS or HD2600 (depends on the ATI's review at that time)
Seagate 320GB x2 + Maxtor 500GB x1
SB Xi-Fi Plat
Antec 900 Case(with stock 3 120mm fans and 1 200mm fan)

Modular. The Corsair doesn't get loud at all..and I have like 7 HDs and a 8800GTS.
