Modding a Laptop

[Geordieb47]

I'm new to the whole computer craze and I was wondering if anyone has any cool ideas for modding a laptop. I've seen the modded desktop casings, and I was thinking it be cool to do some similar things to my laptop (instead of getting one of those stoopid skins).

Thanks

You mean something like this? http://www.macmod.com/external-mods/powerbook/1118-powerbook-to-desktop Id love to see some links of laptop to desktop mods if you have any. As far as modding a laptop most of what i see are painting the case.

try making an acrylic case for it maybe put some nice blue LEDs and cathodes, water cooling even? it all depends on how portable or tough you want it to be, you could totally lock it down and make it a toughbook like thing or you could just do a laptop+desktop mod where you put a desktop system into the laptop and stuff, idk, let ur imagination go wild

edit: for lighting i saw this also http://www.xoxide.com/elwire.html looks like it wont take up much space
