• Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.

I had the following thread locked, when the reason for the lock by the mod was clearly incorrect. he locked it because i use a hotmail acct for msn im and state that in the thread i use my regular e-mail in there and posted to that and it was still locked. could someone address this please.

please look at this thread

Have you PM'ed the Mod? I think it's a pretty clear instance of an understandable mistake on his part; I wouldn't have noticed the other email unless you'd mentioned it since it lacks a highlighted link.

yeah pm'ed him, he isn't returning any pm, so i'm guessing he probably doesn't want to admit to a mistake. I might just repost it and ignore his lack of reading anything and just locking stuff.

E-Mail Rules for FS/FT Forum said:
FREE-EMAIL ADDRESSES ARE NOT ALLOWED, ie hotmail, yahoo, gmail, etc.

YOU ARE ALLOWED TO POST THEM IF ACCOMPANIED WITH A ISP/EDU ADDRESS.

ANY THREADS WITH JUST A FREE-EMAIL ADDRESS WILL BE CLOSED PERMANENTLY, DO NO ASK FOR THEM TO BE REOPENED.

You should of just posted this:

e-mail: "sff (at) alternativemicrosystems (dot) com

Instead of posting the hotmail address. The mod wouldn't have noticed it then.

That shouldn't matter, he's done nothing wrong.

True, I'm just saying for next time. THe mod probably just missed the other email address you posted. Was the 2nd address you posted an ISP address? They don't allow those either.

Hopefully they'll reopen it.

that second address is a domain i own and is hosted remotely and is allowed. i've been using it a long time it's not free or anything and have never had trouble before now. who knows i'll probably just redo the posting and post that address in huge block letters so the mods see it next time.

I've re-opened it, there was an apparent misunderstanding.

Ticket closed.
