Hey Guys,

Would a high-end Mobo like the " ASUS Striker Extreme LGA 775 NVIDIA nForce 680i SLI ATX" support a RAID array of maybe 4-5 HDDs, and also support a boot HDD?

I have 6x 500 GB 16 MB SATA Maxtors to build the RAID array with (and an Antec P180 to put them in), but it sounds like booting from an array could be troublesome.

Any thoughts?

booting from an array is not troublesome.
Installing drivers while installing XP can add a couple steps to the process, but it's not hard.

Have Windows on a RAID0 array will speed up some disk intensive operations.
Booting is slightly faster as is video editing and some gaming. Just make sure you have a good backup schedule in place for your important files.
