We have a user who has a laptop as her main workstation at the office. She also uses it when she is out of the office which occurs daily as she works with clients etc.

My question is what is the best approach for making sure her data is accessible while on the go yet still backed up nightly?

She does have a sprint data card that she will be using.

I have had mixed results with offline folders on Windows XP. Things like filename length/types not cooperating I believe.

Thanks for the help.

Since you don't have anything in place from a domain policy standpoint, like Folder Redirection and offline Files, you could always back up her documents and other important data with SyncToy to a server share that only she has access to. Her data would be secure, and included in nightly backups.
