I picked this little bad boy up on ebay for $40. Not only did I get it cheaper than a BIX, but it dissipates twice the heat.

Cool. Does it fit in a case though? Looks kinda wide.
Easily. It's about the same dimensions as a BIX.

Here's a graph of its heat dissipation capability. I have the 6110 model. Keep in mind that I have an eheim 1250 which flows 5.8gpm and a 120mm fan that blows 90cfm...so it should, theoreticaly cool even better than this. I'm looking at being no more than ambient temp no matter how hard I OC. :)

Yeah, I saw that behemoth, I just don't have room in my case for it. Well, I guess I DO have room, but I'm too lazy to mess with it.
/me hugs his Lian-Li PC75

I have owned 3 Lytrons and have always been impressed with the quality...

My favorite was one I didnt ever get to use and eventually sold here that was about 19"x9"x3" and used dual 172's - the Comair Rotrons I was looking at pushed an insane amount of air and had metal blades that would easily remove a finger

I had plans to create an external rack for it, the dual Comair's and the Iwaki MD20RLT pump... then plumb the whole works with quick release no spill connections into the case so I could remove it if need be.

I won it on ebay for $40 shipped :D

Post pics when you get done with that beast ;)

I am converting mine over for use as a phase change condenser.
*fingers crossed on the factory brazed connections*
they should hold....if they don't - I'll rebraze them. :)

I pretty much use nothing other than heatercores for my watercooling systems now -- the lytron-style rads have a bit of a flow hit. other than that, tweaking the heatercores has become a bit of an obsession.

I'll be (hopefully) doing the install this weekend. It all depends on how much fun I have playing in the mud with my truck. :)

If you folks remember my ghetto install then you'll remember my style. ;) I'm going to try to make this one look good.
