I got a new Maxtor sata hdd today and loaded up windows and everything is working fine execpt for when Firefox tells me I'm missing a plug in. This happens everytime after a reformat, so I knew what to do. I click Intsall missing plugins, but it doesnt ever do anything else. Before on my old seagate IDE drive it would install almost instantly, but now, its not working. Is anyone else having this problem. Anyway around it? Thanks.

Its a problem with the forum, not my hardware, or atleast I would hope, why would a new HDD keep a plug in from loading. I would even say software before hardware because it seems like firefox isnt working...

I know, but I still want to know what is causing this problem. It shouldn't be happening. And some strange ass clicking noise is coming from my hdd and its pissing me off!

Glad to hear you found a fix, but It has been noted since the rebuild of the forums that almost without exception, the forum has been blamed for about every technical difficulty possible. About 95% of the problems were computer hardware or software related and about 5% somehow related to the forum in general, this is yet just another example. ;)

I sat there for a second and thought to myself it has to be firefox not making a connection, because the forum has nothing to do with the plugin execpt that I need it to veiw the ad thats on the bottom of the page. hardforum.com isnt where I download the plugin from, so it couldn't have been that. So I take back what I said about the [H] because it was my browser.
