Minuet is an assembler coded OS that fits on a floppy. If it could be modified to run a folding client (would also have to fit on the floppy) could you run a harddriveless box with only a floppy in a floppy drive. I read you guys trying to get linux on a usb drive, this might be easier. I have no idea how to go about this or anything, just wanted to throw it out and see what was what.

Unless Minuet has binary application support for Linux ELF binaries, then it is useless for FAH. Currently, the only distributed project that I know of (biased, haven't tried anything else) is FAH.

Check out the FAQ, get folding and don't spam for obscure OSs unless it's the OS forum.

That was totally uncalled for.

I have often wondered if Minuet could be used for folding as floppy drives are still a lot cheaper than usb drives.

FYI distributed folding also has an appropriate client that runs well under linux.

Whoa man, calm down. Like i said I had NO IDEA whether this would work. Just throwing it out. If you hated it that much then don't respond and let it float into pages of obscureness.

It would be cool if Minuet could just go out to the internet and download the F@h program each time. Then F@h wouldn't have to be stored on the disk.

Sorry, the last three days have been the worst of my life, and I really shouldn't be on the forums..

Nate - Sorry for jumping down your throat.

All - Sorry for being an ass.

yeah i saw the thing about it on the screensavers on techtv looks nice but dont think theres a chance it will fold its not even stable alone muchless with folding lol. add on to the fact of bad floppies and crap floppy drives. now maybe something like this running from a thumbdrives jumping to a ramdisk would be nice. But hey we sort of have someting like that with linux. if we think back to that guide whats his name did (forgot name sorry) And cd distros seem s better way to go unless you go totally disk less.
What was I talking about?

Imagine having an all assembly FAH client on an all assembly os. That would blaze.
