Mining help - Card connected via riser not detected.

Hello!

I know that this may not be the best place to post this, but I tried the weminecryptos forum but have not gotten any replies.


So here is my problem -

I've a Gigabtye Z77 UP4 th motherboard. This has 3 PCIE 3.0(X16,X8,X4) slots and 3 PCIEX1 slots.
I've 2 7950s (1st and 2nd slots) and I just attached a R9 270 via a powered riser to the first PCIEX1 slot. The system does not detect the card, actually it did a couple of times (VGA device is what it came up as) and now no longer detects the card. The fans on the 270 spin, so it has power by the looks of it.

Then I switched out the 7950 in slot 2 (3.0) and connected the 270 using the riser, works perfect, but as soon as I put the 7950 back in slot 2 (3.0) and put the 270 in slot 3 (3.0) it is not detected.

Device manager does not show the card either and now I've tried all the 1X slots to no avail.
I've a 750 W power supply and the 7950s are pulling 520W from the wall so I think that I've the required power.

Does this mean that the motherboard does not support 3 cards in the PCIE 3.0 slots?

There's a trick you may have to do where you short the pci-e pins so the motherboard detects the presence of the cards.
