Minimum Specs for HTPC?

I have an old P4 1.7 ghz computer (the Rdram kind) with 512 ram and an ati 9800 non pro video card. I was wondering if this would be sufficient to serve as an htpc and run a program such as sagetv or beyondtv? Thanks, Rob

what do the minimum specs say for sagetv and beyondtv?

i'd guess you would be fine with those specs.

You'll be fine with that. Anything from 1ghz up with >256 Ram is about all you'll need.

I ran a Duron 1.3GHz w/ 512MB w/ Radeon AIW.

I could play anything....be recording was a big studdered.

I ran a 933 p3, 512mb ram, 9600 for a bit. I upgraded so I could do some HD playback, but it ran fine for SDtv.
