• Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.

Ok, so I am a bit disappointed that I have to post 50X in order to enter the
TWO MONTHS of Christmas contest from Galaxy. I have been following [H]ard since 2004, was a member of the [H]ard gaming Clan and pimped YOUR website [H]ard. I did have an account in the past with posts but had to create a new account because my old account was deleted.

Why would you alienate NEW members and force them to post 50X in order to enter a contest? I understand that you have your loyal members in mind but how bout dem new ones?

What would Burt Reynolds think?

The 50 post requirement is there to keep spammers out of the FS/FT and Hot Deals subforums. Contest just coincidentally happens to be in one of them.

I don't think it's such a big deal to have at least 50 posts in.

I believe Kyle and company make exceptions to some people under certain conditions. Send him a PM and see if he'll let you in.

We use this to show a benefit to being an active part of the community.

May also result in more spam messages as people attempt to get the 50 post requirements. For someone who has been coming here for almost 10 years (reading site not posting in the forums ) and doesn't post much of anything (finally signed up because of contest), I feel a little disappointed about this decision. Now I just have to get my post count up...

Those type of action tend to get people banned quick, or at a minimum their post counts reset to zero.

So you want the free stuff that the forum owners use to say "thanks for making this site what it is" without having to actually do what the owners are thankful for? Sounds like a great plan.
