Microsoft Apologizes For Serving Malware

APC Magazine says that Microsoft has apologized for serving malware via its websites and Windows Live Messenger software. Oops.

With Microsoft launching Vista along with their Defender software to protect users from viruses and spyware, it seems therefore to be an oxymoron that they have started to putting paid changing banner advertisements for malware, on the popular MSN groups servers.

Bet this will make them check out new ads a little better. Although when all said and done, this isn't the first time some company has hosted banners that try to install crap on your computer and it won't be the last. At least they removed it instead of trying to continue to make money off of it.
