Microfly Front Fan Replacement

I'd like to replace the whining 80mm front fan in my microfly. At first I was thinking about putting in a 120mm, but that would require cutting supports and the 3.5" bay where I have a hard drive mounted. A 92mm will fit where the original 80mm is and all I have to do is cut the bigger hole. I know it will be quieter and move more air, but is it worth it? I could possibly fit 2 92mm fans in without cutting supports or drive bays as well.
 
I would just buy a quieter 80mm fan, your not running extreme OC'd hardware so you won't need to move a ton of air.

I have been using Ultra 80mm fans for a while now and I like them, there cheap and easy to get.
 
yeah I did that to my microfly, just got some modders mesh and put it in the side window and it looked good.

but it makes the case noise overall louder becuase now the case is open rather then being semi sealed with the plexiglas
 
I went ahead with the fan replacement. I had to take my computer apart anyway to clean it and I went ahead and put the 92mm in. It did make a difference in my temps. My warm hard drives cooled down pretty well and my CPU temp dropped considerably (about 5C). I think the combination of the bigger fan and removing the honeycomb made it worth it. 92mm leaves 1-2mm of space between the top of the fan and the 3.5" bay. I used the cut off wheels for my Dremel first to take out the majority of the metal and used a tungsten carbide bit to smooth it out. It worked really well and I'm happy with the results. I think I may start to overclock now as my temps idle at around 30C and load around 44C. Thanks for your replies everyone.
