If anybody is going to be in the area of a Micro Center in the next month please let me know.

I'm in need of a couple i7 920 CPU's for $229.99. I know it's limit one per person per visit, so let me know what you can do and I'll cover all the cost, CPU, tax and shipping.

Ask Kendrak for a reference! He got the one I'm using now for me!
O/Ced to 4ghz and running at about 67c on all 4 cores. H50 cooler and VERY COLD AIR works well!

I'll also be near a Micro-Center in Overland Park, KS this weekend. If they still have that Swiftech Apogee XT for $60 I'm gonna snag that too. Sales tax is 7.53% there.

I live there and I thought sales tax was 7.65... at 7.65% it'd be $247.58

man i wish i lived over there.. its friggin 8.5% here and still going up..
 
Wow I have a bargain over here. These some law in NJ that says poorer areas of the state only have to pay 3.5% instead of 7%. The only problem is its an hour one way so what I'm saving in sales tax I'm paying in gas.
 
Maybe it changed. I just googled Overland Park sales tax and found an article that quoted 7.53%. Anyway. I'll be able to go there today or tomorrow maybe so if I need to stop by let me know.
 
No sales tax here but no computer stores either. :(
 
Sales tax here is 6% but I don't know if I'll be hitting up a MC in the next week or so :(

Next month or so will work! My goal is to have parts by March!

Some of you guys pay mad taxes! My state, Alaska, has 0% state tax and 0% income tax. Local borough charges 3% and city is 3% with a $30 max total in tax. So your not paying $1,800 tax on a $30,000 car, just $30.

yeah but we have roads that go across our entire state from city to city.. :D lol jk.. hell i wish i lived in alaska..

Alaska is able to tax the oil industry and make up for it though. Here in TX I think we have a 8.25% sales tax, but if we buy a car we have to pay taxes on the Blue Book value of the car not what we paid for it. I bought a blown up civic for $600 (then fixed it), but had to pay taxes on the $3200 BB value!!!!

Only 7 states are left with no income tax, and if TX ever goes that route i'll probably move!!!

wow now that really sucks.. i bought my car for 8k used but only said i payed 500 dollars.. :p
 
lmk if you're interested. I work down the street from MC so I could easily make 2 trips if you wanted.

btw, I'm an old folder..... just been out of the game for awhile. Hopefully I'll get going again as soon as I get this i7 rig going.

Hey guys thanks for the offer for helping me out. I will have to hold off buying these at least til the end of Feburary. My well pump died yesterday leaving my family with no running water. Mister well guy is going to extort about $700 to install a new well pump and get the water flowing again.

And of coarse the $199.99 special is back at Micro Center!!!!!

should just buy the pump and do it yourself.. :p depending on how deep your well is, that is.. i remember when we had to replace my grandparents.. 385 ft of hose just to get to the friggin pump at the very bottom of the well.. some guy wanted 1500 dollars to do it just because of how deep the well was.. at 10 years old that was probably the most exercise i ever got having to take the end of the hose and running all the way down their 1/4 mile long drive way with this hose dragging behind me, lol.
 
Problem is my wallet isn't talking to me now!! It's pretty upset over it!
And when my savings account finds out there won't be any new Benjamin’s joining them this pay period. I’m dead!!!

I'd do it, I would require the money up front though.

Would be $221.00 w/ tax here + $5-11 shipping depending on where you live.
