Well my Microsoft Mouse Blue just died . It had this wierd problem where the optics on the bottom would shut on and off randomly and it was really annoying. Only happened when i would move it tho. So now im ganna go shopping for a mouse, and i got recommended to me a Logitech MX510 for $50. 50 is pretty much my limit so if u guys got any comments on this and whether it will last me longer than a year or whether there are better deals out there lemme know!

The Logitech MX510 is an awesome mouse! IMO it is the best mouse for gaming since it's much lighter than the MX700. On that note, you could probably find an MX700 on sale for around $50 since they have been out for a long time. I got the Logitech Cordless MX Duo (keyboard + MX700) for $70 with no rebate at Staples a while ago. The MX510 is relatively new as it recently replaced the MX500 so it's pricey. And don't worry about either Logitech mouse crapping out on you in a year, they are top notch.

I'm a fan of the Intellimouse Explorer 3.0 myself, i've got two of them right now and really love them, the wireless MX'es always were too heavy for my style of gaming. Coupled with a func 1030 pad, you can't really get much better, although I did enjoy the mx310 that I used on my friend's box one time. It has that nice, light feel too it, tis a little small for my hand but easy to get used to. Now if they would only re-release the Logitech Wingman 3 button mouse in optical, i'd be all over that :D

I would get the Microsoft Intelli 4.0. You can find them for $20 bulk. I've got one and i love mine. I've tested the MX510 and did not like the feel whatsoever.

an MX510 should be the same price as a MX500. also dont get a wireless mouse, its just stupid for gaming. i like the MX510 over then intelmouse myself and i have had a MX500 for 2 years now.

The MX700 is not stupid for gaming. It acts just like a wired mouse. I noticed no difference from it than the Boomslang I was using before and that Boomslang was tight.
