Mic Problem with Realtek

My new motherboard came with Realtek onboard sound. I use a mic that is attached to a headset to talk on ventrilo. I have a problem though, I can get the mic to work by turning the boost on but all the sounds incoming to my headset play over my mic. So if I am gaming and I saw something there is an echo of what I am hearing through the headphones.

Anyone have any ideas on how to straighten this out?
