What does every one think of this case?

MGE-Viper case.

My girlfriend has one (of course she bought hers from that tool Micheal Gonzo from Micheal's Computers) and I took a look at it and its a pretty large case with room for improvement.

I'm thinking of picking up just the case gutting it of that 500W PS its ogt and transfering the internals from my AMD machine into it since the case I built the AMD rig with is a lot smaller than the MGE Viper.

Of course, if I do get the Viper case it'll be modded heavily as well. But I just thought I'd get everyone's opinion on it.

It really didn't look like a bad case and its got a lot of room for improvement....plus..once its built its something I could show to Micheal since I know him very well and prove to him that anyone can build a better computer than his piece of shit.....I hate that guy....

You mean aside from the fact that it's ugly as sin and looks like it was copied from the
Cobra forces in G.I. Joe?

The inside looks reasonable enough...The rest makes me think of the lyrics to "Pretty Fly" by Offspring...

Meh..I don't care about the looks right now. I'm thinking room...I'll be changing the way it looks anyway a little.

Get past cosmetics guys and look at functionality for a minute... ;) :) LOL

Does it look like it'd be a decent case to build up? I'll be modding the outside of it anyway and I won't be getting the red case. It comes in black too.

And pictures really don't do it justice. It really doesn't look too bad in person.

It looks super cheaply built, with some plastic features and a bling bling window.

I don't like it, and certainly wouldn't spend an money on purchasing one.

One Phrase: Everytime someone buys a case like that, God kills a kitten.

the case is a pure gimmick, it has no function, only some middle school styling to it. I just cant express how i loathe this case, and yes i've seen it in person, which is why I hate it more

I'm still hunting around...nothing was final I just thought I'd get everyone's opinion on it. I thought it looked kinda neat...but then again when I saw it I immediately thought of the Dodge Viper and me being a Mopar fan I found it kind of neat.

If you did a custom Dodge Viper case yourself, where you did all the logos/badges/etc., that might be cool, and, you could call it your own and be proud of it.

This case, on the other hand, looks like the Cobra Commander threw up on it.

That had actually crossed my mind as well. I've got easy access to Dodge parafanalia (sp?) so its feasible.

Hello
I bought one of these last November and actually managed to stuff it with my semi-SLI setup last saturday!
It's a very nice looking case. Annoying that everything has to be screwed in, but no big deal as I'm only going to build my PC once
Side panels are initially almost impossible to slide off - I had to use an egg slice to lever them off! They get easier after about 6 removals. Check out the xgbox.com website and see that they have already redesigned the case to have an easy release side panel handle! Also if you the look at the support area there is a very funny bit telling you not to follow the temperature probe instructions which were to "put the thermal sensor in between the CPU and heatsink". It's probably a bit late now for those with fried systems!

Have people been getting temp probe failures? I've had 2 fail ( and I didn't use it to try and short out my CPU!) and the latest diagnosis is that the front panel is broken and so a new one is on its way.
My next case will be a zero-tech box! I only bought this one 'cos a UK company were selling their first stock cheap on ebay as a cheap advert.
I can never resist a bargain, but strangely, I hardly ever receive one!
cheers
snedger

man i loved gi joe when i was a kid.....

and man is that case disgusting.

Gi Joe was the shit back int he dayu. The new cartoon kind of sucks.

And yes, I have since decided against that case, after some serious thought and consideration I decided it sucks.
