metal cutting? problems

i was using my dremel to cut the some metal that is from the side of a lian li case and the cutting wheels keep on breaking and shooting all over the place. i dont have acess to a bandsaw but what would be the easiest way to cut metal that thick?

Get some carbon fibre reinforced wheels. I think they're called something like that...
 
Yeah, you're going to need the heavy duty wheels. Make sure they say they're for cutting metal :)

When you get the right ones, you should be fine. Of course, don't rush it and don't force it. It's a mod, not a race... and the slow mods are the ones that look the best :)

Just as the people before me said, I use a fiberglass reinforced cut-off wheel. It works ten times better than a standard cut-off wheel. Never force the cut, make lots of passes over a line. Once you are through the metal, don't twist the dremel. Take your time and never rush. I've never broken a wheel once before!
 
If you want to get it done quick, you could use an angle grinder and get a thin cutoff disk for it. Works well, lots of power (even for the crappy $15 grinder I use)
 
It sounds like you're pressing waaay to hard on the disk. You're not going to cut through the metal in one pass. Ease off of it a little and take a little bit out at a time.
