my motherboard is an abit kd-7, i bought ddr400 memory, but in the bios it only recognizes it as ddr333........the main reason i got this board was barton support, and ddr400, what could be wrong?

is there a jumper on the board you have to relocate? check your manual.

here's an update

read through the faq on abits site.....apparently this is commong problem, cause the damn chipset doesn't support 400, so why the hell do they advertise ddr-400 then!? I'm kinda dissappointed, on specs it says in big and bold RED letters DDR 400!!!! yet in the faq it says "why does my kd-7 not find ddr 400 memory frequencies correctly" "because it's a chipset limitation, manufacturers can't fix it".....anyone got this board and enabled ddr 400 to work....???
