I recently bought a GeForce 4 MX 440, 128 meg 8x AGP card. I uninstalled my old nVidia drivers and installed the recent 53.03 drivers from nVidia's site.

Everything seems to be working fine, except that when I go to Display Properties it states that I only have a 32 megabyte card. It says I have a GF4 MX 440, AGP 8x and everything else, but says I have 32 megs. It does the same thing in DXDiag as well.

Is this simply a display problem? Or is there something going wrong with my card? I would REALLY appreciate some help, and I'll gladly provide more info if you need anything.

I also wanted to add that when I boot up, the video BIOS says that the card is 128 megs.

There is a bios option to change the amount of graphics card cam you have, check that, as well as try running the nasty file remover that you can download from www.guru3d.com in the downloads for nvidia section, it deletes certain files that regular uninstall doesn't delete which can cause serious problems with new drives that are installed.

I uninstalled my nVidia drivers, rebooted, ran NVClean, re-installed the 53.03 drivers, rebooted, and I am still having the same problem.

As far as the BIOS ram option, I assume you're talking about the AGP Aperture Size, even though messing with it shouldn't make a difference, I changed it around anyway. Didn't help.

Any other suggestions?
