I just purchased a gig of memory to go into my system(266mhz) the thing is when i load my computer the ram passess the memory tests, It appears as 1040mb etc but when it gets past there it goes really slow and windows takes a while to load. im just wondering if it is the motherboard as a new one is on its way!
 
If you're running XP try getting and running bootvis. This could solve the problem. If you don't feel like dealing with bootvis give it a few more days. Windows optimizes itself every 3 days if I'm not mistaken.
