Memory Frequency

In my BIOS settings there is an option for Memory Frequency. By default its set to [AUTO]. I have pc2700 DDR RAM which 333mhz. Anyways the only other option besides [AUTO] is 333. Should I set this to 333 or leave it at AUTO?

You could really set it at either. Sometimes auto settings can be flaky, which is why the 333 option is there, but it is also there incase you want to run something other than what is programmed into spd of the ram. For example, some of the early 2700 was programmed to be 2100 by default because the specifications weren't finalized until later, such that if you wanted to runyour shiny new 333 @ 333, auto wouldn't cut it.

if your ram is cas 2 or 2.5, set it to that. it defaults at 3.

are you sure [AUTO] isnt already 333?

you can use CPU-Z to check:

If auto dosent already set it to 333, then obviously set it to 333 manually.
