MCW5000P cleaning

Hi all.
This is my first post here and I haven't searched very deep for an answer that might be present so if there is an answer already written could someone please link to that thread?

My problem is this.
I have had my P4 watercooled with a Swiftech MCW5000P and it worked outstanding. This spring I changed some parts in my computer and when I looked inside the coolingblock i saw that there was alot of chrystalisation inside.
I believe that the cooling effect must be lower with that so instead of putting it back I wanted to clean it. BUT, there's always a but, nothing I have tried is capable of clearing out the crystals or whatever it is. I'm thinking of opening the block but if there is another solution I'll try that first since it might be safer. I don't want the block to be leaking when I put it back again.

Anyone who has an answer please help me.

Have you tried brass or copper cleaning solutions?

Get a string cleaner that is for dipping brass objects into to clean them and just put the waterblock in some of it, making sure that the inside is full of the stuff. Let it sit for a while and then wash it out with water.

Maybe I'll try that but the thing is that I have tried a couple of things and nothing works. I've tried radiator cleaning fluid, the stuff you have in car rads. I've tried ordinary soap, pure alcohol and some fluid that is meant to take away stains of tar on cars (don't know the name in english). But no success. But maybe that'll help.
