MCW30 on a DS3?

I'm getting a DS3 soon and wanted to WC the NB since I heard it gets extremely hot and to help with fsb speeds. For Intel motherboards the retaining mechanism clips to some hooks on the motherboard, which I can see in pictures of the Asus P5B, but the NB heatsink on the DS3 looks like its held on with screws. I know the MCW30 can screw onto AMD motherboards, but I didn't know if it would line up on a DS3. Anybody know or have used one themselves (pics please if you have :) )? Thanks

just took a look at mine, seems the holes are off by about 1/8" compared to that of my A64 board. Could be possible with a little work.

Can someone please definitively confirm or deny this? I'd really like to know before I order parts and end up wasting my money. Thanks.

I'd say that the angles are way out of line for the mount. The MCW30 looks to have a 30 degree angle between the holes while the DS3 has more to a 45 degree angle between the holes.

I just ordered this for my DS3 today, so hopefully it fits. ;) I am pretty sure that the distance between the mounting holes will be fine, although I am not sure if I will have to mount it at a weird angle.

Google searching found me several people on forums with a DS3 and MCW30 in their sigs and a few people asking about builds using them, although I did not find anyone complaining about the fit. If you want to wait for a more definitive answer I'll know as soon as my order from Petras gets in. :D

The MCW30 works fine on the DS3 motherboard. As I expected it is rotated a slight bit although of course this does not affect performance at all.
