MCP655 Without Speed Controller?

i dont feel the rheostat makes it quieter but the sound i lower tuned so to me not as noticeable. get it and see what you think. its a great pump.
 
I had to turn my pump down to 2-3 from the stock 5 setting... It was just too loud for me, but now it's below the 15dba threshold of my decibel meter!
