hey guys i just got a 300gb sata hdd from compusa. for 149$woot
in the origanal box. ive got to say that this is the best hard drive ive every used. its much faster then my 80gb sata 8mb now i just go to reinstall windows to it and realy see if there is a big differance with that 16mb cache
 
I've been seriously thinking about getting one of those... the exact one that you have with the 16mb cache. let me know how it works out for you :)
 
I have the drive as my main. So far I am quite happy with it minus the fact the seek time noise is a bit annoying.

got one as my storage. went from a seagate 80gig to the maxtor 300gig.... weeeeeee!!!

the best deal out there.
