Max temp on i7 930?

i bought i 920 when they first came out, max temps were said to be safe up to the mid 80's, then i went to amd, to try out the 6 core, now i'm going back to intel with a 930, doing some research on google, most people seem to think its the mid 70's. can anyone clear this up for me?

920, 930, 950 are all the same chip, different multi.

80's is high, and okay... but 70's is the best.

100*C as thats when the thermal protection kicks in.

my i7 920 is still fine after 2 years(i think its 2 years, maybe 1.5)
