4th mATX rig based on the Q-Pack design:

I will be re-using mobo/ram/hd/optical/power supply

New parts include MSI X1800XL (XT in XL clothing), AMD 3800X2, MC-350 pump with acrylic top. Thermochill HE 120 rad (I would have gone with the P-series if it had the same dimensions), and MCW60 GPU block, with Swiftech ramsinks.

Here are some teaser shots:

Why dont you just mount it externally like voyeurmods has their pre-watercooled qpack...

I don't want it mounted externally. I like the aesthetics of having everthing inside the case......makes it more portable, and less vulnerable to damage in the event of a mishap.

What problem do you have with it being mounted internally?

Looks ugly and bulky. i think an externally mounted one with the right mounting system looks very clean and sharp, and it gives the computer a 'wow' factor kinda thing when people see the radiator, it can look cool.

I'm sorry Dillusion, you think a radiator hanging off the back of the case DOESN'T look ugly and bulky, but you think one neatly tucked inside of the case DOES?

I think being able to contain EVERYTHING inside the case has more WOW factor than having to compromise and mount it externally.

I completely agree that everything inside the case is more pleasing. I go to a lot of LAN parties and having stuff hanging off the back would not end up good. I guess if you like to stay home, having stuff pouring out your case would be fine. I hate it when people mount their radiators externally. It makes me cringe. Nice mod :)

Heh sorry if i was a little blunt about it, but thats just how i found it to look. maybe its that fan casing that makes it jut out so much that makes it look weird.

yep, just got my microfly. better than the q-pack. a little flimsy but when you put all the components together it becomes more rigid. too bad my lcd display don't work :( . Anyway the black with windows is awesome.

What happens if a water line broke and pissed all over your motherboard? Is there some kind of warranty?

Hah, of course not. Though if you meant that in favor of the externally mounted radiator, I would say that it's almost just as prone to leakage, negligably so. I mean, if motherboard manufacturers had warrantees covering all the stupid shit we do to our computers for the sake of performance or sound, we'd nearly bankrupt them

No prob Dillusion...........I think you'll have to wait to see the completed pictures. I've had three leaks so far (getting a leak in a SFF rig is much more likely to happen due to the cramped quarters) and using MCT-5, my board got completely soaked. Each time, I made a complete recovery. I'm using Fluid XP now, which is just propylene glycol (non-toxic).
