Ignoring factory OC's and ports/CF links etc, is there any 5850 card out there that warrants being bought over another one right now?

for ati cards i would go with xfx because they offer life time warrenty. if you can't get a xfx, go with asus, they offer 3 years warrenty.

So would you say it's only warranty based advantages?

XFX seem to be having fan related issues, to me it seems as if they have quality problems on their coolers, but it seems people rate them in the States, is it only because they can warranty return them?

IIRC, Sapphire is the one to stay away from because of poor customer service.

I've had no quality issues with either of my XFX cards, the warranty is just a bonus. Quality is a roll of the dice with any brand, but a good warranty is something you know you're getting up front.

Hmm, i'd guess that i should probably just get the cheapest card i can find then?

Yeah. It might be worth paying a bit more for XFX since they will have better resale, but generally go with the best deal. I've gotten some great overclocking cards from crap brands and some really poor overclockers from the "best" brands. Now I shy away from companies that offer multiple editions of cards since I worry that they will be speedbinned.
