making genmay viewable?

I understand that you have to pay to post in genmay but why not make it viewable to those that have not paid? :)

From my understanding the rationale behind paying the $5 is to cut down on the amount of spam being posted. :) If you allow members to view the genmay forum but not post its still cutting down on the spam. I'm mainly interested in the car forum, would be nice to read it even without posting. And I'm sure there are lots of other members who would like to view the hidden forums and dont really care if they can post or not. :)

Yeah, I too would like the option to be able to just lurk a bit in genmay. I'm not super interested in posting there, but it could be interesting to browse a bit from time to time.

Couldn't this also inspire people to plunk down the change for a subscription?
 
We do free-view weekends. Keep your eyes open for them.
