Probally picked the worst setup possible 2.5 years ago for when it comes to cooling.

Prescott P4 3.0E processor
Abit AI7 Mobo
AIW 9800 pro
Antec Lanboy case

im not much into gaming on this computer so it was only recently I installed the 9800 pro, and just last week I installed MBM5 again, and i opened a golden oldie on my computer (Jedi Knight 2) and my alarms started to go off.

Apparently under minimal load im at around 56 C, and under full load its getting up to 83 C.

I feel my 9800 and its extremely hot.

Case temp: 35C
PWM temp : 70C
CPU temp: 70-85 full load

minimal:

MBM5 says that my lowests are:

Case: 27C
PWM: 46C
CPU: 54C

I do not have an different heatsink and fan on my computer and apparently the PWM sensor is on the backside of my mobo facing the closed wall? Should I try to cut a hole on the backside and create an exit fan on the exterior of my case?

Recently my fan on my mother board has become rather loud(rubbing) is this fan replacable/upgradable?

What should I get if I upgrade my heatsink/fan cpu combo?

My 9800 has an upgraded cooling device on it by artic cooling, but it still seems hot. Anyone know anything about this?

CN: really hot, need to know what to upgrade on my 3.0E for heatsink fan.

luckily i have some artic silver sitting around, should I go ahead and put some on, and reseat my hsf, and order a new hsf and just seat that one when it comes in, or just wait till the other one gets here.?

just ordered the zalman, hopefully this helps, do I need to use thermal compound remover before i put thermal compound back on?

alright well my mobo fan def needs to be replaced? not the HSF my abit AI7 fan right below the HSF. How do i go about replacing this because it wont even spin right now...
