I want to buy a Macbook Pro off my local Kijiji (Canadian Craigslist) with a stock 512GB SSD for my sister. However my sister doesn't need that much storage at all. I was thinking about swapping it with my Vertex 2 240GB and keeping the 512GB for myself. Is this possible?
 
Unibody Macbook Pro should be fine

If it is a retina MBP then no, they are proprietary.
