Is there any portrait monitors that can look equal in picture height in PLP with a Dell u2711? I see alot of people using the 30" monitors but I haven't seen one set up with 27" monitors yet.

I think you mean PLP (Portrait Landscape Portrait). But yeah, there's are monitors that match the vertical resolution with it's horizontal.

The vertical Res of the new 27"rs is 1440.

There are 17"rs and 19"rs that are 1440x900. I think a 17"rs would actually fit the height, but I haven't checked. Now finding one that's IPS or PVA is going to be the challenge.

yeah i'm sorry. long day at work lol. I meant plp.

i would definitely like for it to be IPS. I don't think i've ever seen one in 17". 19" would probably be more likely.

A 17" 1440x900 display in portrait would be 30mm taller than the U2711. Don't think you're going to find a non-TN one either.

seems like it would be easier to just run two 25" 16x10 monitors on side of it. Or if I can find it a 1400x1050 monitor on each side and never have the look of a PLP but with the drivers to work for LLL.
