My CRT is stuck at 60Htz refresh rate, and it can strain my eyes after a while (especially on white or light pages). I was wondering if this can do any damage to my eyes or vision?

Thanks

That does sound like it may cause a problem after prolonged use, I think you need an lcd if you're concerned about the crt and your vision. 60hz sounds kinda low for a crt so you should just get a new lcd. Although there are disadvantages like color, it should be a whole lot easier on your eyes.

It really can't do damage to your eyes or vision, hell 60hz is all around you. That's what our entire electrical system is based on - 60 cycles a second. It is more stressful on the eyes than a higher refresh rate would be.

Raise your refresh rate, or get an LCD.
