Alright, all my parts are in (well, almost) and I need to decide on how to do my loop. Two options:

Components: Storm CPU block, Maze4 GPU block, 2 CSP-MAG pumps, 1 dual-day 5.25 res, Tygon tubing, and 2 120mm heater cores

Res>Pump 1>
.....................>Y-Fitting>Rad 1>CPU>Rad 2>GPU>Res
Res>Pump 2>

ooooor...

Res>Pump 1>Rad 1>CPU>Res
Res>Pump 2>Rad 2>GPU>Res

The pumps are CSP-MAGs. The pump has a free flow rate of 126.8 GPH and max head of 2.8 PSI. For more info on the pumps please see http://www.systemcooling.com/csp-mag-01.html

I realize that the typical answer to a question like this is to run the pumps in parallel, but I'm concerned with the Storm block getting only 2.8 PSI of head. At the same time, giving it less than 126.8 GPH (remember that this is a free flow rate, not how it will actually perform) isn't any better.

Recap: Two weak pumps, Storm & Maze 4 blocks, two rads, one res...should I run the pumps in series or parallel?

Thanks! I'll post pics when it's all done and temps to see how it worked out.

Run dual loops, the pump should beable to handle the Storm block just fine.

OK, I know many people will be asking: “How does it do with the Swiftech Storm waterblock?” To answer this question I have added a third flow test… :)

Pump (connected to reservoir) > 18” Tube > 6x6x2” heater core > 12” Tube > Swiftech Storm > 18” Tube > Graduated 5 gallon bottle.
