I have a desk that has a hole only big enough for 15 deep x 13.2 wide x 9tall. MicroFly fits great with like 2 inches to spare on the sides. Only problem is the microatx motherboard requirement. Anyone seen a Full ATX size microfly (or Lian-Li PC-V300A) like case?

I really want to upgrade to a ddr3 mobo w/ q6600. Driving me nuts trying to find something.
 
There isnt going to be something along those size lines in ATX cases. You can try searching ATX mini towers, but you may have to mod a microfly to fit an ATX motherboard. There are several examples in the case modding forums, youll just have to search around if thats the way you want to go.
 
That's gonna be real hard considering ATX boards are 12 x 9.6 aren't they?

Why the need for DDR3? You could get a decent MATX for the Q6600 with DDR2...

putting a computer in a desk enclosure is just plain dumb, computers require good ventilation, it's not going to get it inside your desk cabinet. add to this the fact you want the latest processor that isnt exactly a cool runner by any means, you need to rethink this.

Agreed. The only thing I'd ever do with a cubbyhole meant for a tower would be to put some shelves in there, and make it storage for my printer supplies, especially if it has a door. It's unbelieveable that they still make desks like that, with piss poor ventilation.

If you're absolutely set on putting a tower in there, search around for a mini tower with great ventilation. Something like this one. It's out of stock at Xoxide, but I linked to it to show you what size I'm talking about. Then cut an opening or two in the door, with a good looking grill/filter covering it, and cut a couple more holes in the back of the cubbyhole, with maybe a couple 120mm fans mounted there, so you'll get some killer airflow through there.

Otherwise, I think you'll be sorry.
 
That Chenming case takes 80mm fans front and back.
Ultra has basically the same case but with a 120mm fan in the front and an 80mm in the back and it accomodates full size ATX motherboards.
I know it's not the microfly case, it's the next step up the product line.

How's that?
