Going to start a new build nothing major just a budget build something fun to put together and oc. I got a scythe ninja 3 for a heatsink was wondering if it is worth lapping since I am going to be doing the heatspreader on the i3?

It never hurts to lap it. I did that to my Hyper TX3 and now I got 20 degrees idle and 34 degrees load. Of course I don't have the stock to compare it to, I just lapped it before I did anything. I finished it off with 1500 grit. I know the grit seems kinda high, but it seems to be working great.
