Looking to build dual mp system, can't find info on stock bus speed!

Too bad the search button here doesn't work either.

I will not be overclocking this system, or using xp's. I see that all boards seem to advertise 200/266mhz fsb, yet the newest 2800+ mp is 333mhz. Looks like on the gigabyte board I'm looking at (extra ide ports=good) uses a 100/133Mhz jumper! But the bios updates show that it "supports" the 2800+


So what gives? Is it going to run at 133 Mhz bus, and the clock speed will now be 133*12.5=1666 instead of 2.083???? Or does the bios tweak the multiplier so it runs at a lower bus speed but same cpu clock.... Why would amd sell a chip no one can run?

which board will run it at full speed?

the 2800 MP, although barton cored, still has the 266fsb (133 ddr, 133 + 133 = 266) and is properly supported and will run perfectly fine in the gigabyte board...
