Just for kicks, and because I'm noticing flaws in my monitors everyday, I want to see the best LCD technology has to offer. Obviously the 30 inch dell is the largest computer specific monitor money can buy, but what about in picture quality? Them Eizo's are always extremely expensive but I never hear much about them. If I had 4K+ to blow on an LCD, would should I get?

Get a 3007FPW, the return/swap policy is freaking awesome...well worth passing over other monitors for ZERO dead pixels.

Picture quality is far more important to me than resolution so long asI have at least 1680x1050

With any LCD, you'll need to adjust it using an external color gadget...thingy...

The Dell 3007 has awesome picture quality. If you have money to blow then get it.

Yes, thats true. I don't have money for one and I don't know anyone who does. I just have to adjust the LCD by eye.

Honestly, I wish I could get one. Although it costs 50% more than the two LCDs I have now and I'd rather have 2 LCDs of smaller size than one huge one. Honestly, I'd just waiting for the next display technology and hopefully that will be SED.

I'm confused, you have $4000 to blow on a LCD...the 3007FPW costs $1600~ and the color gadget thingy costs like $200~? You shouldn't be short on money already...

I don't. This question is rethorical, I'm just saying IF I had 4k to blow on an LCD, what would I buy?

You'd rather have two small ones than one big one? Why? I never really understood that, with one big monitor it's easier to multitask (don't have to keep turning your head back and forth) you get a larger maximum area for gaming and movies, and you have less mouse dragging of windows back and forth over two displays.

Two monitors saves me from having to resize windows to fit the horizontal resolution, it also enables me to display information from more than one imput source at a time. And I feel the mouse draging on my monitor is no worse than on a large single monitor. Its just more pixels across which is nothing to complain about. And both my monitors are fully viewable without turning my head, I just have to move my eyes.
