Hello guys I have about 1k i could use on upgrades, but I just got this 1070 couple months ago so I was looking into getting the i7700 but i would need to upgrade my motherboard and ram if i decide to go DDR4. Any thoughts??
 
I'd probably recommend sitting on it for a while. Your current CPU is probably not limiting right now.

What games do you play and what else do you use the machine for?
 
Save your money. Wait until Intel releases a 6-core mainstream CPU and upgrade to that. Which should be Coffee Lake soon(ish).
 
What kind of monitor you got?

Should have sold the 1070 at the height of the mining craze, would have covered a good chunk of a 1080Ti. At this point though may as well wait for Volta.
