Can someone recommend me some good 42" TVs?

My only requirements are:

42"
1080p
Flat Screen (no rear proj.)
More than 1 component hookup
HDMI input

I've heard samsungs are good. What are some other good ones?

Oh and I'd like to keep the price under $2000

My roomate just bought a 56" for $2000 so finding a good 40-42" for that price range should be no problem.

He bought a 56" 1080p flat panel for $2000? What brand/model?

Your options are the: Vizio G47L, Sceptre X42, and Westinghouse 42" (47" might be under 2k as well, not sure)

That one at Office Depot is not 1080p. For your requirements and price range...

Westinghouse LVM-42w2 (no built-in tuner)
Sharp AQUOS LC-42D62U
Toshiba 42LX196
Sceptre X42GV-Naga

For bigger and still below $2000...
Sharp Aquos LC-46D62U (46")
Westinghouse LVM-47w2 (47") no built-in tuner
Polaroid FLM-4701 (47") no built-in tuner

All have 8ms or lower response time, good enough for games. I wouldn't get the Polaroid or the Toshiba due to very low contrast ratios.

If you do go for DLP/rear-projection then you can get 50"+ for below $2000, but you must make sure you have a big enough room because viewing distance will need to increase a lot.

EDIT: 1080p plasmas are well out of your price range

Thanks for the advice. I have my eye on the Westinghouse for now. Just have to wait on my tax refund :p
