Hi fellow folders,

I'm looking for a guide covering DDR3 speeds over 2133, with focus on timing and reducing memory latency. Memory speed has a big impact on folding but this guide has been hard to find, I can't seem to get the right keywords.

Thanks!!!!!!!

tweaktown has a few memory reviews with X79 and they overclock them to see what they can do.

Memory speed has a big impact on folding

While it does have an effect, I don't know that I would call it "big" relative to many other factors such as clock speed and # of cores. I think you would find that the number of folder running memory at 2133 or higher is very small. This community just doesn't have much experience in high-speed memory, which is probably why you have not received many replies. We aren't ignoring you, we simply don't know.

My guess from playing with timmings from 1200 to 1600 netted about 5% from 1600 to 2133 might make another 5% thats my best guess. overclocking past 2133 probably wont do anything as timmings would have to be losend.
