I need a new screen for gaming, I've decided that a 20" 1680x1050 would be suit my needs best and I like the tighter dot pitch compared to the 22" in the same res.
I mostly run games in 1280x1024 or 1680x1050, so I don't really need a higher res 22", even if the difference in price often isn't that big.
I would prefer a low to no lag screen, I've read a bit but I can't find any good info on input lag on most of the 20" models I've considered, and many of those available seems to be too cheap.
I've considered the HP W2007 but it's only available as a VGA only version where I live (something about a punishment tax on DVI). I figure that the digital to analogue to digital conversion may add to the input lag, which I will try testing as soon as I've dug out my old Nec 17" from the attic, but it would be helpful if anyone knows.
I've also been considering the Dell 2009-series, but they're a bit overpriced and I haven't found any good reviews on any of them.
Then there's the LG W2052TQ which seems to be really good, but I have no idea on the input lag.
In short, I want a fast gaming friendly 20", good colours and contrast et.c. doesn't hurt either, no need for tilting, heigh adjustments, speakers, usb hubs or web cams.
I have decided on a 22" 1920x1680 screen if I can't find a good 20", I'd still prefer a 20" though.
