I'll be getting a GTX 480 either today or tomorrow and I'm quite sure that my harddrive dock in my current pos case will be in the way of this beastly card.

The cases I'm looking at right now are:

Expensive as hell but at least I like my case :D. Lian Li A77F. You wouldn't need to upgrade in a long time, but then again you couldn't afford an upgrade either ;).

This. If you're willing to spend $200 on the HafX, at least look into Lian Li's PC-A70F, PC-A71F, and Silverstone's FT02/RV02.
 
Is it possible to fit a 2x120 rad vertically in the bottom front of the A70F by just removing the 3.5" drive cage?
 
I'd say the Corsair 800D or the HAF X are your best options if you want to be able to watercool later. FT02 is quite good for aircooling but doesn't have the room to do water properly.
Lian Li and Mountain Mods also offer some nice case choices at a price premium. It all depends on how much you want to invest and what you plan to use the case for.

The 'tumor' looks gimmicky and the 1200 is outdated these days.
 
haf x probably has the best air cooling in the business. A your 480 will truly appreciate that.

800D sadly has pretty poor air flow. Great for water cooling though.

HAF X and the FT02.

HAF X has a lot more room though., but it's not going to win any beauty contests.
 
Lian Li A77F seems like the best case for front to back airflow. Stack it up with 4 x 120/140mm fans at the front, and just use a external disc drive for when you need to use one (if ever)

I'm sure it has plenty space for water cooling too.

I'd check out some of those images for people that have used it for their builds, you can also use the A71F pictures as its the same case with a door in front. I got mine off newegg for $163 shipped, so there is no premium for Lian Li as opposed to others. I've recently added Cooler Master to my list with Thermaltake of cases with too much plastic. I hate plastic on and in cases! The A70F has tons of modding capability. Room for at 4 120mm fans on top, you have tons of room on bottom for a rad if you remove the HDD cage, and you still have both side panels to work with if needed. Put as many rads in there as you want!
 
I would take a look at the Corsair 800D or 700D. You can always add fans for cooling.
