Looking for a desk for my room, my setup is pretty simple, a Thermaltake Lanbox I often take away to LAN events, a 22inch HPw2207, a small set of 2.1 speakers, basic input/output stuff.

I want something with a low shelf like this desk, if anyone knows the brand of this desk or something similiar PLEASE link or let me know where I can find something like it. THANKS

way too simple for my use. I was hoping to find out what desk that one was in the picture, or at least one with similiar structure. Any places I can look (IKEA not being one of them)

I just came from staples, where i was looking at this same desk. They also have one of the same design type but glass. Part of me really wants the glass even though i would probably break it.

you dont want glass.. cant hide any cables.. and my god the fingerprints.. you'll be cleaning it constantly

My kids have that exact desk... use to me mine and has to be going on 6 yrs now... got mine from Best Buys

I happent ot have one and if you dount touch the glass it dosnt get dirty lol and only the part that you touch gets dirty lol

as far as the cables go you can do some cable managment but what i did was brought them all to one single point and have a big collum of cables

anyways the glass desk looks sexy lol

found it at staples, not on their website though (odd). I like the design, it has enough room for my SFF, mid tower, and server chasis on the bottom shelf. The tier structure is appealing, and even though it's an open design, there is room for cable organization behind the pillars. Might pick it up during the week

Have you looked at IKEA? Their frederik like is pretty nice, and they have other workstations as well that you might like...

Me, I use Z-bar racking from home Depot...

I am looking at replacing the thing with something else though... swapping cases for something smaller so I can put it under the desk with the sub, and swapping the 27" for a 27" flat panel so I can eliminate the top shelf. Its in a small room so I dont need such an imposing workstation, but hey, it has worked great for about 7 years now!

Well again my issue came up that although the jerker/frederik are nice, they are just simple designs with two posts, a flat surface, and top shelves with optional extras. I was looking for something with a tier design if you read the original post.
This desk works great as it gives me a main desk (gaming rig inputs), large keyboard tray (server inputs), lower shelf (LCD + lamp), and split upper shelves (speakers), and the best part one large floor shelf that is large enough to hold my Lanbox, Antec 900, and long server chasis (if all layed out correctly). I already have the setup layed out in my head, I just need to buy the desk, find a good chair and one of those plastic floor panels.

late to the party but I have that same desk. The desk in first post is the Bush Furniture MM80502 Jagger Personal Computer Station. Think I got mine at Circuit City a few years ago.

yea finally got everything set up, works pretty much as expected. I got my LAN rig alongside my gameserver on the bottom shelf with my sub with enough room to spread my legs. I'll post some pix as soon as I get some time between work and school (just about to leave for class)
