My sister wants a new monitor. I immediately recommended the HP ZR24w, which prompted questions such as "that thing is how large?!". It appears she isn't quite someone to appreciate the wonders of high-resolution S-IPS panels!

In the end, she gave me the following criteria:
- No more than 21"-22", because her desk space is limited
- Should be cheap to pick up
- TN panels are fine, so long as it isn't glossy/reflective
- No integrated gimmicks like 120Hz, speakers, webcam etc needed
- It will be used for office-type work, internet and PC gaming (MMOs) only. No external device support required.

Basically it's something I wouldn't even consider buying for myself. Got any recommendations to help me out here? :)

120hz is not a gimmick.... not sure where you heard that from... what's your budget?
Any brand preference?

Dell U2211H Review:

The Dell should be under 280$, it's the best IPS display currently but also has horrendous Quality Control issues. Be prepared to exchange it a few times, however it is the best IPS panel without spending a fortune, making it worth the effort if you want an IPS LCD.
