Looking for a 10.4" Display

I'm modding a Mac SE/30 (Stop laughing!) and need a replacement display. From the factory it shipped with an 8" black and white CRT. I believe I can fit a 10.4" LCD in its place, giving me much more room in the box, and cutting down on power supply requirements. The trick seems to be finding a suitable display. Ideally I want a package I can just drop VGA into, and my target resolution is 1024x768. There is one vendor on ebay selling such a unit, but I don't trust it given the feedback customers are leaving. I've not seen anything else for sale but I can find refrences that such displays do exist. Anyone got any pointers?

If you haven't tried, id search Google, see if the manufacterer actually has a actual site.

Thats the fun part. The auctions list a part number that according to google, only show up in those auctions. I've contacted a couple of the buyers, they report the monitors don't work, only come with a photocopied page of gobledygook in Japanese, and have no markings to indicate brand or model.

I see there are raw LCDs that match my targeted spec, but I have to supply a controller. Anyone gone that route before?
