I have one question I just received 2 Logitech Z-5500's from Logitech. I'm guessing they made a mistake and sent me 2 of them. I RMA'd the first one because of the popping issue. Well anyway onto my question. So I opened both of them to see if they weren't DOA and then I noticed something, one of the Control Pod's had a purple Standby color and the other had the Original Orange color. What's the difference between both the systems? Are they the same besides the different colors?


I am also selling one of the Z-5500's. If anybody is interested send me a PM.
 
How the hell do they accidentally send you two 60 pound boxes? Accidently dropped two in the packing-popcorn? :rolleyes:
 
I guess they sent two because i RMA'd one Z-5500 and one Z-5300e and I think the Z-5300e are discontinued. Anyway whats the diff between both systems? Is it only the light on the control pod?
 
They are just different colour scheme on the control. The purple is only available after tweaking using tips and tricks if you search google.

I suspect that they sent you a refurbish model rather than a new one. They are a couple of other hidden features within the control if you care to do some googling. And is only enabled by the end user not by Logitech themself. But I may be wrong.
 
They were both sealed and looked new so I doubt that one of them is refurbished. Well thanks for the info.
