• Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.

I was looking at a thread in the Mac forum that seemingly did not violate any rules, was civil and a completely useful discussion and it was locked. The last post on it yesterday. It is more than a tad frustrating when you come to a site, find something you want to disucss and it is locked.

Is there some reason for this? I always thought of forums as discussion boards and not just reading material. We could all go to a static site if that is all we wanted.

Whoever started the thread must have paid for genmay and locked his own thread. Nothing the mods can do.

I locked the thread in question, because the contents that were being discussed is technically illegal (violation of Apple's EULA).

Normally I will post in the thread, but since this particular topic has been debated to death i locked it.

As a general rule the moderators will leave a parting note as a thread is closed...unless it is painfully obvious as to why the thread was locked. In this case, it seems it wasn't as obvious to you as a casual reader as it was to the daily visitor of that forum. In any case you now know it wasn't part of a large conspiracy ;)
