I am having an issue in my lab with the 64 bit view client. When I try to check out my desktop which is also 64 bit, my view client throws an error stating something of the nature that the os must be 64 bit capable to download the desktop or something.

Is this a vt-d issue with my laptop? I have to have that enabled to download a 64 bit desktop?

View Local mode will look for the VT-D Technology for 64bitness, does your laptop have the ability to turn that feature on?. And yes you have to have it on as View uses that technology to run 64bit VMs correctly through the Software, same as ESX, ESXi.

If u have further questions feel free to ask.

Thanks man - as I was writing that question it poped in my head the VT-D issue - I am sure the laptop has the feature I will have to check in my bios - for now I will just make a new golden image that is 32 bit.

Thanks!

I'm not familiar with VMView but why do you think it's VT-d (passthrough) vs. VT-x (64bit VMs) ???
